• I want to use a new page for my posts.
But when I create the page and designate it as the Posts page none of my prior posts show.
Is it possible to move all existing posts to show on a new posts page?

  • Hi Soukous,

Are you trying to create a static home page and then designate a different page for your blog posts? For example, https://www.myblog.com/blog ?

To do this, create your page and then go to Settings > Reading and change the Front Page Displays to A static page.

Select your static page and your new page for the blog posts. All your blog posts will be moved to the new page.

I already have a static home page and a separate blogs page. I need to change the blog page as it was originally created with the wrong name (which is not good for SEO). I created a new blog page and designated it in Settings>Reading, but none of my existing posts showed on the new page.

What theme are you using? Where did you download it from?

I am using the Natural Theme from e404, downloaded from Themeforest.

What happens if you switch temporarily to the default 2012 theme?

I have not tried that. Is it safe to switch themes back & forth?

Should be safe to switch back and forth.

If you’re concerned I would just do a backup before making a lot of changes.
