    Hello,

I have noticed all of my smart bundles are now simple products, I think this may have been caused by migration or by simply disabling the plugin then re-enabling it.

Please can you tell me is there a simple way to change product types back to “smart bundle” without editing them one at a time.

I have tried using Yith bulk product editor but after changing product type and hitting save the product reverts back to simple product.

    Update:

Answered my own question, will post it here in case it helps someone.

The issue when editing the product types in bulk “smart bundle” reverting to “simple product” seems to be a plugin conflict.

Solution/ Workaround: Enabled troubleshooting> Enabled Smart Bundles & Yith Bulk Editor> Changed product type and saved. products successfully changed to “smart bundle”.

Ignore the solution above, I have found that simple products which were bundled into a smart bundle now appear on frontend as a bundle even though they are still simple products. Prices have reset to zero on numerous items. Quite a headache and a pretty big mess to say the least which is a real shame as I thought I found a good plugin for bundles.

    Hi @furnituresuppliesuk ,

First of all, let’s clarify your problem: Everything is working well then you DEACTIVATED the plugin then REACTIVATED it, so all the bundles have been messed up? Then it’s not a problem of our plugin, sir.

And as many people know and they always do is to back up their data before making any major changes to the site/theme/plugins, so that when things like this happen, you can easily import your bundles again with just some clicks.

Quite a headache and a pretty big mess to say the least which is a real shame as I thought I found a good plugin for bundles.

This saying is misleading a bit after all of our effort to build this helpful plugin for product bundles, isn’t it? Cause this is your fault, not our plugin’s.

Still, if you need further help, you can send us a link to your site or screenshots of your issue, so that our developers might find you a solution. But help might take some time due to our heavy workload.

I wasn’t stating there was a problem with plugin I was mentioning the issue in hope there was a simple solution.

Not personal towards you, but imagine hundreds of products losing the product type, with no simple solution, yes this is a big headache but I resolved it and you are correct my fault alone however providing useful documentation on how to use the plugin correctly would be great start. After many hours I have worked all of the issues out which were simply due to incorrect settings, settings you have not advised to change but instead responding quiet defensive.

Thank you for taking the time to respond even if it wasn’t productive.

    Kind regards
