Changing search results

  • Hi,

    I’m using the free version of Proteo which I have to say is fantastic with all the options available and I’m still playing with the settings 5 days later BUT I have one problem that I cannot find the answer to.

    When I use the search option, I only get five results no matter how many product there are and its done in blog style, i.e. picture on the left and description on the right,
    As in this picture How it looks now is there anyway to change this to what a product category would like i.e. four or five products across the screen and how ever many you want on the page? Like this How I want it to look

    I’m using WP 5.8.2 with WooCommerce if that helps?

    Hello there,
    this happens because the default WP search look for every kind of post (pages, posts and products).
    What you need is a search dedicated only to products. You can use the WooCommerce widget named “Product Search”. You can add it to the header sidebar, but the widget style will not be same of the other default widget… you need to customize it a bit

    Thanks for the reply, I ended up using a plugin as I couldn’t get it in the position I wanted.
