Changing site URL

  • I have inherited a wordpress site – https://www.pivotalarts.org. The organisation is changing its name to Counterpoints Arts. I have bought https://www.counterpointsarts.ie from the same company who hosts the current site. Can anyone tell me the best (safest!) method of changing URLs for a WordPress site.

    Another and I suspect different question is: is it possible to keep both addresses and point the older one to the new one so that anyone who has bookmarked the old site opens the new one. (Think this may not be a WordPress issue but thought I’d ask just in case…)
