Changing site URL, specific steps

Host: Network Solutions
Site: https://freedom-cng.com/

So my client’s site is hosted by the terrible Network Solutions, and its address was https://0361159.netsolhost.com/ until I changed the wp-config.php file with the hard code suggested by WordPress:

define(‘WP_HOME’,’https://freedom-cng.com’);
define(‘WP_SITEURL’,’https://freedom-cng.com’);

Most of the pages responded to the change except the home page. Now, when you click on a menu item, say ‘About Us’ then click back to the ‘Home’ tab, I get this address and a ‘No Results Found’ https://0361159.netsolhost.com/wordpress

To try to fix this problem, I tried editing and pointing the ‘freedom-cng.com’ to /htdocs/, like the one currently below:

https://0361159.netsolhost.com —> /htdocs/

Instead of its current

https://freedom-cng.com —-> /htdocs/wordpress/

Do I need to add a new directory? Why are all pages adjusting to the new URL coded in the wp-config.php and not the home page and its subsequent tabs (Why CNG?, Resources, Safety of CNG) I appreciate ANY insight. Thanks so much!!
