• I added additional categories for links, but if I change a links category to anything other than “blogroll” I get the following message on a “404 not found error page” The requested URL /wp-admin/link.php&saved=true does not exist.

The category of the link is unchanged.

    Thank You

  • starting first with the obvious, does the file /wp-admin/links.php exist in your WP installation? If not, download WP 2.7.1 again and upload the files – if one is missing others are likely to be missing also.

    I’m having a similar error.

I am trying to update a link’s URL, but after clicking ‘Update Link’, I get a 404. I’m not trying to change the category, just the URL.

I have reuploaded all WordPress files from a fresh download from the site, as suggested above, so I know every file I need exists in my installation, but it’s still giving me 404.

    Help?!

I’m having the same problem. Updated to the latest release as of 6/4/2009. The file link.php exists, and looking at the code, it appears to accept the “saved” action.
