• Hi there,

I am trying to customize my sidebar and list my post titles as links below each category. Can’t seem to figure it out though.
I have figured out the get_posts function (so I can list the posts in a given category) but I just can’t figure out how to get it so that it loops through all of the categories I have and lists the posts for each of those. If anyone can help me out I’d really appreciate it. Thanks.

I hope not ?? – as a potential visitor to your site.

This is a typical “beginner blogger” question – when you have only 4-5 posts and the idea seems to be “cool”… But what when you will have 500 posts in every category? Imagine your sidebar’s length!

Regardless of my personal opinion – I don’t know of any plugin or code that would do that.

Well aren’t you up on your high horse. Personal opinion indeed… Considering I haven’t mentioned how I am utilizing wordpress on my site I would really appreciate you keeping your un-constructive posts to yourself.

I am using WordPress as a CMS and there will never be more posts on the site than the site administrator wants. So to quash your point right off the bat, this will never be a concern. I am not building a typical “beginner” blog.

I don’t understand how you have achieved the status of “moderator” when you don’t even know the code well enough to offer helpful advice. Why don’t you take your holier than thou attitude elsewhere.

    Thank you very much.

For what it’s worth, the WP Cat-Posts plugin will nicely list all titles in a given category. You may be able to achieve what you’re looking for with that.

Then again, if your site is going to be that small, have you considered using sub-pages beneath parent pages, instead of posts within categories?

On the more general subject of effective means of eliciting support and assistance, Wikipedia may prove instructive.
