• In the past, when you clicked on the feed icon in the address bar in Firefox, the default RSS feed for my site was https://www.mysite.com/feed/. I was futzing with my site and something I did changed the default feed to https://www.mysite.com/feed/atom/. How do I change the default feed back to /feed/?

The Codex and this plugin talk about using .htaccess to rewrite requests for feeds on the fly, but I’m not looking for that — I just want the default feed presented by WordPress to be /feed/, not /feed/atom/. I presume there must be an easy way to change this, but I’m not seeing it.

    Thanks.

  • Set default feed presented by WordPress to be /feed/, not /feed/atom/

A solution to this request would be great – the solution would address at least a dozen unanswered forum posts regarding the same issue. An /atom/ feed link in the address bar causes confusion and errors for those wanting to subscribe to the blog rss feed via that link.

Thanks to anyone that can offer the solution here.
