Hi, I have an updated to WP 3.0 – Multisite – installation from WordPress MU v2.9.2 initially installed and configured by WPMUDEV and hosted on psek.
On one of the domains I have installed the ‘TwentTen v1.1’ theme and am trying to change its header image. The theme expects the custom header image files to be found at ..wp-contents/files where as when I upload the image files – interestingly – the are placed under
..wp-contents//blogs.dir/15/files, where as the theme expects them to be the former location.
I have tried changing the upload locations by editing the site but that is having no effect. Please help as to why it is behaving like this?
    TIA,

  • It’s failing becasue the other upload folder is getting an extra slash in the URL. That’s the problem that needs fixing. ??

Oh sorry, it is just type mistake by me when writing the post.

Well, the built in header uploader is able to handle the different sub-blog uploads folders put in there by the network feature. That’s how wordpress.com is setup, for example.

So, a link to your site would help.

Sorry was out of my work place.
I figured it out that it was the missing .htaccess file which was causing the problem, don’t know whether it is correct or not.

I just put the .htaccess file from the location I copied the other files for the installation and it work’d perfectly.

This is the source installation: https://legisblogs.co.uk, and here is the target which was causing problem https://legalbloggers.co.uk

    Thanks for your support.
