    Hello,

I love QuickShare; I think it’s a great, fast, easy-to-use plugin. Thank you for creating it!

I’m using QuickShare to provide sharing options below all of my blog posts. Reading the QuickShare FAQ, when a site visitor clicks on one of the social share buttons that tries to include an image (such as Pinterest, Facebook, and Google+), QuickShare will automatically grab an image in this order:
(1)First it looks for a featured image
(2)Then it grabs the first attached image
(3)Then it looks for a raw image tag
(4)Finally it falls back to a site-wide default image that I can set

I have already set the default image within the plugin settings (#4 in the list above) to my desired image, but QuickShare keeps pulling a different image, which happens to be my WP user avatar. I’ve already tried changing my avatar to the preferred image, but that didn’t fix the issue. Because I’m not using featured images for any of my posts, QuickShare must be pulling the incorrect pic as (#2) the first attached image or (#3) a raw image tag.

I’m a WP novice so I’m wondering, how do I change the first attached image and a raw image tag for blog posts so the correct image is used by QuickShare? I’m confused why the incorrect image is being used when I have no images visible with my posts, so I assumed the default image I assigned would be used.

I’d like the preferred image to be used with already posted blog posts as well as automatically applied to all future posts. Is there a way to to do this?

If I change the first attached image or a raw image tag for blog posts, will that affect any other aspects of my site?

Thanks for the help and for making such a great plugin!
    Scott

    UPDATE:

Ok, it appears that Facebook is the only social media platform that includes the incorrect image when its sharing button is clicked. Pinterest and Google+ are both properly pulling the site-wide default image that I set within the QuickShare plugin.

Any idea why Facebook isn’t using the site-wide default image while the other social media services are?

Would changing the first attached image and/or a raw image tag for blog posts fix this problem with Facebook? If so, how do I change these?

    Thanks,
    Scott
