• Hey guys,

So I am working on the my new website locally, and I have added the pages I wanted to show up in my menu so that they appear in the following order –>
    News/find us/ prices/ media/ etc etc…..

Where I am totally happy about keeping the news pages under the form of a blog role with a two column template, I would like the find us and prices pages to be static and hopefully just one column , but I dont really know how to do this ? I understand this is probably a really basic question, but I am a real newbie with wp and web design, so the learning curves is rather steep right now ??

thank you so much for your help ??

  • Hi,
If I’m following you here, edit one of your Pages, say, Prices, for instance. Look down the right column, and find Template. See if there are any choices besides what’s already there, and try them out.

If those don’t look good (or there aren’t any other choices at all), I’m thinking that you probably would need to make a new Page template that only has one column. This would be a new variation on the Page template, probably.

Unfortunately, this is definitely not a newbie activity, sorry about that. You could always shop for other nice free templates, and could probably find one that does what you’re saying.

    Good luck, Dave

    hey Dave,

thanks a lot for the answer, it doesnt seem that there is indeed a single column template in the theme I got, which I was quite happy about it. It seeems however that there is a certain amount of tutorial to help with creating a new template for the pages am creating… I will see how it goes and post again if I am really struggling ??
    thanks anyway!
