Changing the size of header with logo

  • Hi there,
    Could anyone help me in explaining how can I make the header part smaller?
    I am uploading the logo and choose the smallest variant (not a thumbnail, but 300×186 px), when it uploads – the header is becoming much taller than I want it to be.

    Is there any place where I can set this according to my needs and not to use the default sizes set by wp.
