Changing the URL (or “Slug”) of Your Pages 2.7?!

  • I have created a page and want people to be directed to a URL instead of an actual page. I am not sure how to do this for 2.7. Please help….

  • I’m not sure why you are trying to do this with a page of you only want it to link to a url…why not just a link?

    I guess (just guessing, since I haven’t tried this), you could create the page and then look for that entry in the database and change the url…again, just theory here…

    oh… well how do I create a link then? I want it to go on the top bar where the pages are….

    Open the file in your theme that produces the page links…probably the header.php file. You will probably (just guessing since I haven’t seen your theme) have a Home link there that directs people back to the homepage??? If so, look at how that is coded in and you will do something very similiar to hard code in other links using href…
