changing the way wpcf7 outputs checkboxes

Currently if you have a checkbox field and you wish to output the contents in an email it is displayed as a list separated by commas. eg. chicken, apples, tea, orange juice.
Is there a way to get the individual values of this list and output them separately?
Im outputting them into a html email and would like them to be in a bullet pointed list or table.
