Any luck getting an answer for this?

Hello, I am looking for the same solution.

Also, any way to change the link in the adminbar from “Social Articles” to something else?

It’s simple to change the language. It’s best to get a language editor like poedit. You should access your website files via ftp. Then go to plugin folder inside wp-content. Then social-articles->languages and then download the social-articles.po file. Then open it in poedit.

You can do a search/find in poedt for anything named “article” etc or anything else you want changed and then it gives you a space below it to change it to the name you want. When you save the file, you will simply need to save it in your language – probably US english which would look exactly like this “social-articles-en_US.mo”. Poedit opens only .po files but you need to save them as .mo files which is what you will need to upload back to your site. Not the .po file. Also FYI – save the .po and .mo file somewhere on your hard drive or a back up system somewhere – just good practice with all website files.

Then go into your site and go to wp-content folder. Then create a folder called “languages” if there isn’t one already. Then create a folder called “plugins” inside the languages folder. Then simply upload the new “social-articles-en_US.mo” file in the plugins folder. DONE!

Then you should see your changes in your site to be what you want. Once you know how to do this with a little practice you can do this with other plugins too. Then it will stay this way even when plugin updates are made. Although I have a hunch few updates will be made with this plugin.

    Enjoy!
