Changing Theme on Established Site

  • Am considering changing themes on my site to gain widgets on both sides. Am using 2010. My question is am I going to have to rebuild site and repost all articles and pages? Thank you. Jim

  • Nope definitely not. The theme is kind of like a ‘skin’. Changing theme is just changing the way the content looks on the front end, so you will not lose any of your pots, pages, plugins, configuration etc.

    Thank you very much. I wanted to find out before I took a chance. This makes changing themes really easy. No wonder WordPress is so popular.

    Yeah it takes all of 5 seconds to completely change the look of your entire website!
