changing theme without losing my content

    Hello and thank you for your help!

    I don’t like the look of teh Twenty Twenty Two theme on my website but am having trouble changing themes without losing my posts, etc.

    I am using a www.ads-software.com blog on siteground host and would like to migrate my content to fit your Neve theme. I tried this already and lost all my content – had to restore it through a back up. I loved the Neve travel adventure theme, or just Neve adventure and wanted to use either of these themes – or any similar if there are some that are compatible.

    Is there a way to change to using a Neve theme and migrate my posts and comments? Or to find compatible themes for seamless migration with the Twenty Twenty Two WordPress theme?

    Hello @itsawildlife,

    Thank you for showing an interest in Neve and apologies for the delayed reply!

    You should be able to change the theme without losing your posts or comments as the theme usually affects mainly the appearance without leading to loss of data (posts, comments, etc).

    What we would suggest is to try and create a staging site where you can implement Neve and the starter site of your choosing. Afterward, you should be able to migrate your posts and comments using a third-party plugin or one of the methods described here.

    When you managed to create the staging site as per your desire, you can move it (using the same tools) to your live domain.
