Changing Themes Question: please help

    I am currently using a theme I have been working on. I have removed certain tags and widgets, while I added other things to it.

    Here is my question:

    If I change the theme to a new one, and then later decide to return to this old one, WILL I LOSE ALL THE CHANGES I HAVE MADE ON THIS THEME?

    I worked pretty hard to remove certain borders and unwanted symbols.
    Will I have to start from scratch if I decide to return to this theme, or will the changes be kept the same?

  • Assuming you are NOT using a theme/folder name such as default or classic, and assuming you don’t later try to install files over your theme where the theme uses the same folder name (wp-content/themes/your-theme-name) as you have used, you should be okay.

    Some people have hundreds of themes installed, switch to another theme, and that still leaves all the other themes intact.
