So, I tried to change the size of my thumbnails to 200×150. But it havn’t made any change on my site.

I have even tried overriding the setting in “gallery Settings”, no result.
I tried to upload a new image, and then using this one as a new thumbnail, still small thumbnail.
I tried to regenerate thumbnails after changing all settings. Still small thumbnails :/

@squazz – If you are trying to change the thumbnail size of a display that was inserted using the IGW you will need to edit that specific display and modify the thumbnail size under its customization panel … this is also working from the idea the theme is not over-riding the image sizes.

I’m not sure I understand what you mean?

@squazz – What are you using to insert your thumbnail displays? Are you using the IGW (“green button”) or are you using standard shortcode structures?

@photocrati – I have inserted the album on a normal page via IGW. You can see the page here. https://beta.musalaha.org/participants/children/galleries/
As it is seen, it gives me all of the galleries that are in that album.

    Update:
I see now that the thumbnails are actually in the right proportions inside the gallery, but the thumbnail for the gallery itself is still in the old size.

@squazz – Are you referencing the gallery preview thumbnail image in the Album display?

That would be affected in the same fashion as the NextGEN Basic Thumbnails but under the appropriate Album settings / customization instead.

    Yes, yes I am.
Yeah, I can’t find the place to update that setting.
Under “gallery options” I have changed the thumbnail everywhere I can.
Under “Other options I have changed the thumbnail everywhere”

There’s nothing in any of the “manage tabs”
And bulk optimize does nothing in this regard.

Although taken from one of my “Pro” test sites, this screen capture shows the NextGEN Gallery option to modify the Album’s preview image thumbnail size: https://take.ms/Ia5CT

A similar option is found under the customization panel when using the IGW for the specific album display (which will need to be set for each album instance inserted via the IGW).

    Thanks!

Oh, so I have to manually set this for every album in the future, and can not do it in advance?

    (@photocrati)

@squazz – You can set it for all Albums going forward under Gallery > Gallery Settings but you will have to go back and modify any existing displays as they will retain their setting if they were inserted via the IGW.

Oh, so that’s what my problem is. I feel so stupid now.
I will check up on it when my websites backend open again tomorrow ??

@squazz – It’s a boon or a bane depending on your viewpoint. We see it as an important feature of the IGW that it always maintains the settings it was inserted with allowing users to essentially customize each and every display they show uniquely … but it’s not something you think about when you change the default (read: go-forward) settings.
