Changing Title of Statistics without changing Key

Is their any way to change the title of individual Player Statistics (i.e, Passing Completion Percent, Pass Yards Per Game) without changing the key of that individual player statistic?

I have alot of player statistics, and wanted to abbreviated the title of several statistics because I didn’t like the way they looked on the player profile, player lists, etc. So I changed the title of “Passing Completion Percent” to “Comp Percent” and in doing so, the key of that statistic also changed to comppercent. Which in turn, basically created a new statistic that had 0 on all player profiles/lists.

By changing the title back to “Passing Completion Percent”, the key also changed back to passingcompletionpercent and the statistics that were not previously shown came back.

So in short, is there a way to change the title of a statistic without changing the key to that statistic?
