Changing Title Tag

  • Hi Sir/Madam.

    We have built a website and found that title tag have an column ‘:’ at home page, we want to remove this, but unable to remove.

    Please assist us how to solve this and it possible, can include procedure so that we able to follow.

  • You will need to examine your theme’s header.php template file to see how the title tag is being constructed. Have you given your site a title in Settings -> General?

    If you will not mention any title in the wordpresssettigs->General it will take from the header title tag. so check your theme settings tab and header file and mention the title name in between the title tags <title> and </title>

    Thank you for your reply and we have found the title tag is belong to General and Header portion of WordPress. But the main thing, we can’t able to remove column ‘:” after the title. What to be do in order to remove the column ‘:’.

    Pls assist us whatever it’s possible to remove the column ‘:’ for the title tag. We think having the column ‘:’ beside the title tag, looks not so appropriate…..

    Isn’t the column ‘:’ unable to remove or we used the theme default has the column ‘:’? The theme is dkret.
