Changing URL

I want to change the url people enter to visit my site from https://www.example1.com to https://www.example2.com. I just want the simplest way to do it. I would prefer to not move my files to a new folder if I don’t have to; though I can do that if it is necessary.
I read the WordPress documentation and changed define HOME in the config file and in the options table of the database as well. Didn’t work.
Can someone please give me more straightforward/direct/easier instructions?

You’ll need to start by setting up the new domain on your hosting account, consult your hosting provider’s documentation and/or support department for that.
Most hosting provider’s will add the domain as a new directory under your hosting account, so you’ll need to follow the steps at https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Moving_WordPress#Moving_Directories_On_Your_Existing_Server
If your hosting provider can map the domain to the current directory that your site is under, then you’ll only need to follow this guide: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Changing_The_Site_URL#Changing_the_URL_directly_in_the_database (you’ll find phpMyAdmin in your hosting account’s control panel)
