Changing URL / Without wordpress Index

So i have a website, mydomain.co.uk/ and my wordpress blog on that providing the news section. This is currently installed in and the WordPress URL set as mydomain.co.uk/blog/

I want to have the current website (i have custom made pages for index of the domain and several other pages too) as it is, but the category pages from what is currently the blog, on the main domain. EG: mydomain.co.uk/new-category/ instead of mydomain.co.uk/blog/new-category/.
