Guys forgive me if this is redundant– I’m a farmer not a web designer… I decided this last winter to change my website from frontpage to a blog in order to update my webpage faster. I’m overwhelmed and I’m lost! My host server is bluefish hosting they support wordpress and it was really easty to install but now I would like my address to fairsted.com not fairsted.com/wordpress… I changed the info in “options” on the wp admin panel… I’ve changed the info in my phpadmin 2.4 although I never could find the section home…. I’ve deleted the cache file in wp 2.0 and the only thing I have accomplished is locking myself out of wordpress.

Probably it’s a bit too late, bit this is the guide for moving WP from one directory to the root… or wherever you want it: Moving_WordPress.

THANK YOU! Thank you! it was really simple after I reloaded wp2. I was just so stuck on “Giving WordPress Its Own Directory”

    You are awesome!
