Changing urls & SEO Optimization

  • We are developing a WP site on a new host on a new url. The new host tells us that when we have completed the site they will help us change to our original url (a 14 year old Front Page site hosted elsewhere) which will be moved to the new host. The new host requests that we notify them a week before we are ready to change the url.

    Our old website is live now and we are very satisfied with the search engine ranking.

    We want to use All in One SEO plugin or SEO by Yoast.

    Is it ok to use the plugin now on the temporary new url or will it break links etc. when the url is changed to the old url?
