Changing wordpress address to www.domain.com

Hi guys,

I have previously done up some wordpress sites and went thru the process of moving the index.php and .htaccess files from the wordpress folder to the root folder in order to the wordpress display on the main domain name (www.domain.com). Very simple steps…

This time when I am doing a new wordpress, I realised that there isn’t a .htaccess file available for me and my research shows that I maybe running on a window server (Not very sure) that actually provide a web.config (there is one in the root directory) instead.

Can someone advise me what to should I do? Should I try moving the wordpress files to the root directory, seem to be much more complicated. I am really bad with the backends of wordpress.
