Changing wordpress host and nameservers

Export your wordpress.com site (Tools > Export) and save the XML file to your computer.
On your new hosted WordPress click Tools > Import. Choose WordPress.
Select the XML you downloaded previously and choose what to import (import attachments…)

If you want to redirect traffic from the old site, you may need additional steps.
