    Hi all, I run a test website using the theme sprachkonstrukt2 (which is currently in a hidden folder on my website). I plan on making my website a wordpress one, as I’m not a very good designer.

    Anyhow, I removed the Home link and changed it to something I needed. The problem I now have is that I have NO clue how I did that. I plan on using that theme in the future for other projects, but i don’t know what I did or whose advice on WordPress I followed. I tried so many things, and I guess it took a few hours for the change to come into effect.

    I tried asking the creator on both springme and twitter but to no avail :/ He hasn’t answered at all. It has been at least 2-3 weeks.

  • the theme’s forum is at https://www.ads-software.com/support/theme/sprachkonstrukt2

    when you don’t use the custom menu, the theme will use a fallback function defined in functions.php:

    /**
     * Fallback for main menu
     */
    if ( ! function_exists( 'sprachkonstrukt_menu' ) ):
    function sprachkonstrukt_menu() {

    	echo '<nav><ul>
    			<li><a href="'.get_bloginfo('url').'">'.__('Home', 'sprachkonstrukt').'</a></li>';
    	wp_list_pages('title_li=');
    	echo '</ul></nav>';
    }
    endif;

    removing exactly this part <li><a href="'.get_bloginfo('url').'">'.__('Home', 'sprachkonstrukt').'</a></li> (be very exact not to remove any character more) should remove the ‘home’ button.
