Channel Gallery by YotuWP no banner showing

I can see the Complianz Cookie Banner on this site, and providing consent in the banner allows the video to load; are you still experiencing issues with that?

Complianz blocks the YotuWP scripts before obtaining consent, thereby preventing the YouTube embed from loading. But this can affect the custom ‘placeholder’ image added in YotuWP as well, as those scripts are now blocked.

I suspect above can’t be prevented purely from our end. I’d say that an integration with Complianz on the YotuWP side of things, might be a more robust approach in this case.

thank you for your reply.

The problem is, that the banner is not showing up for video gallery (if only the placeholder is not showing, this would be ok). I removed the first single Youtube embed, so you can see what I mean. The consent cant be given on the this page through a banner. It was working in the beginning but after some time it stopped working.

I see a cookie banner that unlocks the videos. But I don’t see a placeholder on the video, the latter is the issue?

we spoke in deed of different things :). This cookie banner will only appear, when you directly visit this page. But when you first visit the home page and decline the cookies and then go to in the menu to the media>video page , this banner will not show up again. So usually there will be a consent banner over the video like in this image. https://snipboard.io/v8JH4E.jpg. But this is missing and no consent can be given. Can something be done about this?

The quick fix will be to add a placeholder manually, you can do this by using the below set-up under Complianz -> Integrations -> Script Center -> Block a script, iFrame or Plugin.

Name: Yotu Placeholder
URL to block before consent: YotuPlaceholderExample
Async checkbox: Disabled
Category: Marketing
Enable placeholder: Enabled
Blocked content is an iFrame: Disabled
Div class or ID that should be targeted: yotu-wrapper-player
Dependency: Disabled

Save and enable your new integration with the slider, and you should now see a standard placeholder on the first video in YotuWP allowing you to accept & load the content.
