Character limit for index?

  • I am wondering how can I add a character limit to my posts so it displays a “read full story” type links. I have long articles and dont want to cover the index with just 1-2 articles so in an effort to add more content to the index id like my articles to be within a certain length and then be cutoff to be read in full with a link

    does this make sense? lol
