Character spacing, line formatting

Great plugin.
What controls the spacing between the characters(words) and also the line spacing, space between sentences? Is there somewhere in the plugin I can adjust it?
The formatting isnt the same as my regular page formatting is, so I would like to get it closer.
Also is there an issue with it adding double spacing between words?https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/magazine-columns/
