Characters and foreing language

  • Hi! I got this problem whit theme. I use foreing language (finnish) and all special character not showing correct. Just question mark..
    How to change themes character coding? Not Entries, i know where that can change (adminPanel) but just themes..

  • Normally WordPress use a UTF-8 character encoding, so ‘foreign’ characters souldn’t be a problem. It’s not unusual though, that the MySQL installation uses some other encoding.
    In that case, the solution is to log in to your MySQL instance and configure it to use UTF-8 ( Unicode ). Use phpMyAdmin or whatever admin tool is available.
