charge amount does not match

Thank you for letting us know about this problem. We’ve seen the error The charge amount does not match the order total in previous plugin versions, where it was caused by a rounding bug. However, there’s a fix for this included in Square plugin version 2.0.4, and we haven’t seen any reports of the same error since updating to 2.0.4.

If the problem only happens for 1 out of 5 orders, can you please send us some screenshots of the Items table on order page so that we can double check the same numbers on a clean site? Here is an example of what we’re looking for:

Can confirm I am also getting this error with Square plugin version 2.0.4. Please advise if there is a solution, will be switching back to version 1.0.38 in the meantime

Thank you for the order details! I reproduced your setup on my test site and ran into the same problem as you. As it turns out, the rounding fix we applied in previous plugin versions didn’t take all possible scenarios into account. This isn’t how the plugin should work, so I really appreciate you’re letting us know!

I’ve let our developers know about this error and am waiting for their feedback now.

According to the changelog, the fix was included to the version 2.0.7 which was released yesterday:

2.0.7 – 2019.11.18
Fix – Correct cents rounding that was causing invalid value errors

Please let us know if you’re still seeing issues after the update.
