I would like to hyperlocalize my marketplace. Users would have a home region, but can optionally expand the sales region. Can I configure commissions as listing fees based on region – home region is free, all regions is a fee? This would only affect sellers. Buyers can buy from any region.

I would also like exposure of these listings in search be restricted to enforce the commission-region rules. ie. Buyer searches by all regions, and only listings that have paid for all-region listing, will be shown.

    Thanks

  • Hello @mungbean ,

    Thanks for reaching out.

Unfortunately, at the moment Dokan is unable to offer the exact solution. We have a geolocation feature in our paid version but that is for the users to look for seller and product based on location. Admin is unable to restrict a user for listing in the location search. The functionalities you requesting needs proper custom development.

    Thank you.

Thanks, Rashed. Is it possible to use regions in a taxonomy/category (say local and global), and charge a listing fee based on taxonomy/category?

    Hello @mungbean ,

Charging separately by location is unavailable but it is possible to restrict the product categories for vendors by creating different subscription packages.

Dokan subscription is also a paid module so contact us through support channel to get more details.

    Thank you.
