Charge Per Month OR Once A Year?

Charging per month or year depends 100% on your users. Some will want long-term, and others will want short-term. In an ideal world I’d offer both so that people can choose what suits them.

If I had ot choose 1, I’d choose monthly billing. My personal reasons for this are:

• If a charge shows up once a month people remember it. If it shows up once a year a lot of people will “forget” what it was and dispute it, leading to issues with your bank.
• In general, people appreciate something more when they feel like they are paying fo rit, and paying monthly keeps that idea in their head. Sort of like a reminder each month to “go and use that site since I’m paying for it” rather then having users fall off over the course of a year and think “I haven’t used that for 6 months, why should I renew?”

As I said, it does depend on your users though, and also the content matter of your site. It’s worth asking your customers what they’d like as they’ll be able to tell you a lot better then we would. ??

Here is what I am thinking… $9.99/ mo – or $99 for the year thats for the regular listing that features:

3 Photos,
1 video,
Business Description,
Social Media Links,
Website links,
Blog article on our website,
Coupons and specials,
Contact info,
Hours of operations,
Business logo.

The Featured Listing – which will place their listing on top of the search results will be $19.99/ mo or $199 for the whole year.

It’s not that you’ve done anything wrong or bad. But please keep these forums about the support of WordPress. Commercial business plans do not have a place here.
