Charging a fee to answer forum questions

I posted a question on the forum and was emailed by Jane Tancino at fixrunner dot com with an offer to fix my issue for $20. I don’t believe that’s the purpose of this forum. [moderated] I hope someone will address this before it gets out of hand.

Yep, already deleted that one :)! I’ll delete that other post too – it’s actually not on the forum for that theme – adding brackets to your topic doesn’t put it on the forum – those are added automatically when you post from here:

Scroll to the bottom to make a new post there. So if you want to revisit that question, that’s the place to go.

Again, sorry this happened with your client – hopefully you can just reassure him/her – it’s basically just internet spam. Unfortunate reality these days for all of us.

I don’t want anyone to be discouraged from using the www.ads-software.com forums for support, if you are unsure about emails like these then do let us know (as you have)!

“Fixrunner” and its associated accounts have all been blocked from the forums. Their new accounts will be blocked.

9 times out of 10, it does not make sense for someone to contact you off the forums. Exceptions are made sometimes for theme authors, plugin authors and forum administrators, but still that is highly discouraged.
