  • I answered yesterday ?
What do you see ? Can you post a screenshot ?
I’m using FF PR and the sidebar looks fine.

    I’ve posted screenshots here:
    https://premrara.com/archives/476/problem-with-charleen-on-firefox-10-rc1
It cannot be reproduced in Firefox PR1.0

Do you mean the 1 pixel white line down the right ?
If so, I’ll have to upgrade to try and help out, though quite why or how Mozilla would have altered the way FF interprets code is beyond me …

Everytime I try and assist people with Charleen I get flamed by the author. In this particular case there is a percentage rounding error which is in Firefox. You could switch to pixels if you wanted. Even numbers preferably.

    Re: podz
No it’s the menu (containing the links) jumping to the bottom. If I know what’s wrong with the code, I can help by filing a bug at mozilla.

You may provide an absolute position instead of floating it right or decrease the width of the main content div. And like you said, it doesn’t happen in 1.0 PR.
Anyways, I must insist that RC 1.0 is not an ‘official downloadable for all’ release, so its better to wait for the next release, most probably the bug will be fixed there.

@prara. In that case you would find it easier to switch to a template with more robust CSS positioning and then style it from there. I would be happy to suggest my own Gemini which is very easy to style in the Charleen fashion if you want. This way we could be chasing shadows for a long time. Charleen is borked. As it always was.

looks fine with FF1.0 to me

I have just looked at the CSS again from prara’s blog. The content is set at a width of 67% with a left margin of 2%. The menu is set at 25 %. That is an overun. Firefox will add those figures up to be 104% as per the W3C rec.

To save me the time I just shifted to Kubrick for WP1.3
    Thank you all!
