• I have configured WP to use iso-8859-1 and that make my blog look just fine, however my admin panel is messed up aswell as all comment notifications I receive. Any idea on how to have everything using iso-8859-1?

    TIA

  • https://underbar.org/ is a nice looking site, however your charset is invalid:

Sorry! A fatal error occurred when attempting to transcode the character encoding of the document. Either we do not support this character encoding yet, or you have specified a non-existent character encoding (often a misspelling).

The detected character encoding was “iso”.

    The error was “”.

I had written ISO 8859-1 instead of ISO-8859-1, however the problem is still there: The blog looks fine but not the adminpanel or the notification emails of new posts..

If I have UTF-8 as default everything is ok with any NEW posts even if they are written in swedish however all old posts (imported from B2evo) is messed up. Is there a way of converting the database to UTF-8? I guess that’s the problem, that the old one is written in ISO-8859-1

when changing from UTF-8 to ISO there will be variations in the content, I don’t know if there is a fix for this, but it may be a case of manually fixing them each. Not sure what the solution is, perhaps someone else can shed more light.

    Good luck
