    I tried on your demo and it works with your FB page ID.
    Can you link me your website? Maybe it’s a javascript error from some other plugin or theme.

    Thank you for your response. Earlier today, I realized the problem occurs only while testing in private- or incognito-mode browser. Is there a way to fix this?

    technically there should be no problems in incognito mode.
    Maybe you have some extension that blocks javascript in incognito mode?

    Thank you for that confirmation. Let me try a few things to troubleshoot this.

    Would you suspect a problem with moving the Cresta FB javascripts to the footer for execution?
