Chat plugin does not show “welcome message” nor FAQs

  • Hi,

    I tried various solutions – Official Facebook Chat plug-in, inserting <script> into the footer of the website, but nothing seems to work and resolve the problem.

    In my facebook business account I set up “Welcome Message” to be send instantly and also 2 FAQs with automatic responses.

    But when I open up the messenger icon and access chat as Guest – widget pops up 4 default FAQs without any responses after clicking on them.

    I don’t know where I make a mistake or something could be set up wrong.

    Could you please help me with this issue?

    Hi @ivancikjakub,

    There is currently a known issue where FAQ questions and answers don’t function properly in chat threads which have been deleted and restarted. However, this does not affect the vast majority of visitors who would be engaging with the Page for the first time (i.e. the FAQ responses will work fine).

    Although it is unlikely this will affect regular visitors to your website, nonetheless, the issue is being investigated and worked on, and we expect a fix soon.

    Thank you for response and explanation of issue.

    So FAQs are clear for me, but what about “Welcome Message”? I tried various setups, but nothing has helped. I could not get “Welcome Message” to work.

    Is there an issue also with “Welcome Message”?

    Hello. This is happening for all users on the website, printbnp.com. Is there something we need to enable/disable/change for the “welcome” and “faqs” to appear?

    I’m having the same issue. No one who’s tried it for me can see any of the FAQ. They never show up. Not sure what’s going on there.

    Same issue !!! I set up a welcome message and 3 questions/answers but the window remains empty…
