Hello GetSite, your contact email is not working so I’m asking for support here.
I have noticed that my chat widget is not opening anymore, and I cannot sign in from the backend (nothing happen on clicking the button). Do you have any idea what may have happened?

    Hello,
We apologize for not getting back to you earlier. We assure you that both of our support emails – [email protected] and [email protected] – are fully functional and we reply to every single customer email we receive. Are you still experiencing issues with signing into your GetSiteControl dashboard? There are no known issues that could have caused this, so we will need more detailed information to figure this out. Could you please provide any details that could help us find your account in our database. We will need either the URL of your website or your email address (or part of it, at least) to search the database. This will also allow us to locate your email request if it was sent to [email protected].

I received your email but my reply rebounces back. So here’s what I was trying to reply:

I’m glad you bring that old issue up but even if now the issue has the same behaviour (i.e. the signin button), my .htaccess is still a basic one and I suspect there’s a problem with the browsers instead.
I’m saying that because the first problem is that the chat widget is not visible on the frontpage anymore. The second problem is that it looks like the password is not recognised therefore the button doesn’t sign me in.
But I guess the plugin is installed correctly.

I have put the website off maintenance mode, so you can check.
Do you have the possibility to change the password at your end?

    Hello,
    1. Here is what I’m seeing when I open your website: https://prntscr.com/kg5wx8
The Chat widget seems to be displayed correctly which means the plugin is installed correctly (if it wasn’t there would be no widgets).
    2. I’ve just resent password recovery instructions to your account email. Please use the link in that automatic email to reset your GetSiteControl password.
    3. As for the sign-in problem, can you log in through our website https://app.getsitecontrol.com/#/sign-in? It uses exactly the same credentials, so if there is a problem with your password, the password won’t be accepted in both places.
    4. If you suspect it can somehow be a browser issue, please specify what browser exactly you are using and whether you have tried any other browsers.
    Looking forward to your reply.

thank you very much for recovering a password which did the trick of making the widget and the signin from backend work again. Maybe there was some sort of crash inside the backend, now everything is back into shape. ??

Hello guys, I seem to have the same problem. The widget is not working, but on changing the password (as I did the last time) the backend doesn’t sign in anyway.
I don’t know why these widget stop working all of a sudden.

    Update:
The widget is not working on desktop but is working on mobiles. However, on the latter is not possible to close the chat once it is opened by the user.
    Please advice.
