Chateau theme – post types not working, inserting img from URL also not working

Hello everyone,

I’m really sorry to bug you all with another probably silly newcomers post but im desperate to get this thing going and I simply cant find the solution.

I’m a newbie but I somehow got it all up and running.

1. WordPress hosted @ MT
2. purchased Chateau 2.0 theme and installed
3. transferred my site (posts) from WordPress.com

However, on WordPress.com I had Chateau theme ver.1; which allowed for every post lead-in to have a small image next to it. That is far more attractive for getting the readers to click on a link then it is now in the version 2, where there is only text.

Any ideas how I can make this work the same way?

POST TYPES – not working. The post editor doesnt show post type, could it be that the Chateau doesn’t allow various post types? How does the “GALLERY” post type exactly behave? SHows only the first image, or first few thumbnails, …?

INSERTING IMAGES FROM ULR – this simply doesnt work, I’ve tried IMageshack, Flick, all sorts of hosts – nothing works. Little red “x” shows up and no go.

(it does work if I copy the img link in the HTML editor but thats way to complicated for me, Im not a web designer.)
