• WordPress reconizes chcounter widget, but I keep getting the error that it can find chcounter. So I’m thinking that I may have the directory path wrong when installing chcounter.I have activated it , and it shows up in my sidebar. I have wordpress installed under my domain name root. So what should I enter for a path in chcounter ( I have tried every address I could think of)

  • I’m having the same problem too. It is because of a missing ‘counter.php’ file in the plugin package. Bad package, we can’t use this until the file is added too.

I have just spent a couple of hours struggling with the same problem. Tried every conceivable variation of the address. Copied chcounter-widget.php to the root directory, even renamed it chcounter.php! A Google search actually shows there are many sites running this widget oblivious to the fact it is returning an error. Previous versions had settings.php but I don’t know if this is part of the problem. The instructions say look for OPTIONS –> chCounter Widget, which is actually SETTINGS –> chCounter Widget. Maybe it was written for an older version of WordPress?

    Hi

Having the same problem here with the chcounter. Getting the error over and over.. It’s been written for 2.7.1 as you see in the readme file.
I think a link is not set ok in the php script. Maybe wait for a new release.
