    Hey ben212,
I’m very familiar with this problem (seen that screen many times ?? ). It’s related to the WP Roles & Capabilities system and the MSTW roles & capabilities. How did you install the plugin? For starters, try deactivating and reactivating it.

    Let me know,

    Hi Mark,

I installed by searching in “plugins’ while logged into my admin area. The deactivating and reactivating worked but lost all of the players and teams I already had. Is there a way to recover this information? do you know of certain actions that would cause this to happen so I can prevent in the future?

    thanks!

Activation has to happen in order for the admin to be assigned the MSTW capabilities.

Deactivation/activation does not remove/change any data. Hopefully you backed up your site before upgrading. Tell me exactly the sequence you followed. You had 3.1.2 installed. You upgraded to 4.0 without running MSTW CSV Exporter (as is written everywhere in the documentation). You activated/reactivated and your data does not appear. ????

If I have that right, deactivate 4.0, re-install version 3.1.2, install MSTW CSV Exporter and export your 3.1.2 data to CSV. Deactivate 3.1.2 and reactivate 4.0. Import your 3.1.2 CSV file. This man page might help.

    Let me know.

I tried to download the CSV exporter because I’m having the same problem of not finding any of my previously setup teams and giving me the cheatin’ huh? in the admin area but when I attempt to do so, I get the following error. I hope I haven’t lost three years of data here.

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error:

Warning: require_once(/home/content/r/a/c/racineraiders/html/rr2014/wp-content/plugins/./includes/mstw-utility-functions.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/r/a/c/racineraiders/html/rr2014/wp-content/plugins/mstw-csv-exporter/mstw-csv-exporter.php on line 78

    Hi donwadewitz,
First of all, rest assured your data is still in the WP database. (Assuming you have only installed/deleted/activated/deactivated plugins.) We’ll get it back independent of the CSV Exporter problem you are experiencing. I suggest you start by re-installing version 3.1.2 of Team Rosters, which you can download from the WP forums, and proceeding as described in the users manual.

As for the “cheatin’ huh?” message, did you try deactivating and reactivating the Team Rosters plugin as above? Results?

As for the fatal error, I’ll be happy to address that one if you will be so kind as to start a NEW THREAD on that topic. Sorry for the bother, but it doesn’t anyone to have multiple topics in the same thread … makes it very hard to find answers.

    Thank you.
