    Hi there,

since your last update, we always get the error message “Cheatin’ uh?” displayed, when you want to save or publish an article. The url just goes to /wp-admin/post.php and shows this message. Nothing like this happens, when your plugin is deactivated. Haven’t found anything on this on the web, do you have an idea, what causes this problem? Hoped on a fast new update, but nothing happened the last days, so hope to get an answer here.

    Thanks, Maik

I talked to Maik via email and we identified the issue: apparently, there was a compatibility issue with a plugin they use (Prosodia VGW OS). The reason was, some users didn’t have the right permissions to edit a Reference (i.e. a post type registered by Nelio Content), and said plugin called wp_die with the error message: “Cheatin’ uh?”.

In version 2.0.4 we modified the permissions of the Reference CPT so that Prosodia VGW OS does no longer trigger the error message.

Hello, Just recently all of a sudden I have been getting this error; Cheatin’ uh?
When someone tries to Donate using this link and clicks on Danate instead of redirecting to paypal it shows the error above.
    What could be the problem?

I’m afraid the URL is not working, @technetke. But I’m wondering, are you sure this has anything to do with our plugin?

The error message you mention is generated by WordPress when a user tries to access a page they’re not allowed to. This support thread in particular discussed a problem when saving posts that arose because of our plugin (Nelio Content), which, BTW, was fixed a few months ago.

I don’t think your issue has anything to do with our plugin, so I assume you’re experiencing a different issue.
