Check-box alignment problem – like the labels are superscript

Hi,
My check-box and check-box labels are not aligning correctly.

For some reason, the check-box label appears a little above the check-box. Like the label is a superscript.

This happens if the check-boxes and label are all on the same line, or if each check-box and label are on their own separate line.

What is causing this? How do I get the check-box to correctly align with the label text?
