Can Someone explain to me what exactly the

    CHECK FOR MAIL EVERY …

    Ten minutes ? ( I have to wait ten minutes ???? )

    versus

Check Manually ? ( im gonna take a wild guess that I have to press that ” RUN POSTIE ” button to actually POST MY EMAIL/POSTS ?????

I was under the impression that the blog posts would appears instantaneous …. IS THIS NOT THE CASE ?

Correct me if im wrong but shouldnt the post AUTOMATICALLY post itself shortly after i send the email ?

OR …. do i have to wait 10 minutes to see it ?!???!?!

… this is so frustrating ive wasted so much time running back and forth with my settings RIGHT NOW :

    Im under hostgator account server

    Mail Protocol = SSL POP3
    Port =995
    Post time correction = 9
    mail server = pop.gmail.com
    Mail user = ***** ( without the @gmail.com )
    Mail Password = *****
Check email every = 10 minutes ( ?????? so i have to wait ten minutes for it to appear ?!??!? )
    Delete email after posting

I Just tested it and sent another ‘ test ‘ email

and its been exactly 15 minutes since i sent the test email post to my ‘secret’ email account AND NOTHING HAS HAPPENED

Earlier on today it seemed to have a mind of its own and posted it out of the blue …

PLEASE HELP. This plug in seems to have alot of potential but id hate to abandon it and find other means of utilizing the feature

Yes you will have to wait up to 10 min to see it happen automatically. While testing you can click the “run postie” button to check now regardless of the check mail setting.

Please verify that the emails are actually arriving in the ‘secret’ email account.

You can set “Delete email after posting” to no to see which emails have arrived, processed and posted.

I’m also wondering what’s going on.
I have it set to check every 10 mins also but when I send an email it won’t see it until I check it manually.
I’ve waited up to 30 minutes.

And just now I ent just one email and it double posted it when I manually checked.

I don’t have an answer for you at the moment. The next version will have enhanced logging so we can track down these issues.
