Today I had over 2000 spam comments that sneaked through over the last few months.

When I click the “Check for Spam” it catches several each time but some remain and are grabbed on the next click.

How does this feature actually work? Does it queue the entire set and slowly move through it?

Does it only check a certain maximum number of comments?

Does it only check while I remain on the Pending Comments page then stop when I move on?

I can’t seem to find any documentation on it’s proper usage.

It checks the comments in the Pending queue, 100 at a time, as long as you leave the page open. It can take some time before it finishes, which is why it might seem like it takes multiple clicks.

Thanks Christopher, I’ll keep that in mind.

To clarify, If I know I have 2,000 spam comments then I’d have to click it then wait for the process to finish.

If working correctly that should take roughly 20 passes to sort through the 2,000 spam comments?

That’s correct. If you wait long enough and it still takes multiple clicks, that would be a bug.

No bugs, I only took a minute or two for each group.

    Thanks again for the help.
