Check if Media Gallery Item is in Use

I looked everywhere for this, and I am assuming there is no way to do it, but is there a plugin that searches your Media Gallery and alerts you of any items that are not being used on your site? I have a really full gallery that multiple users have uploaded to, and I want a simple way to clean it out, if such a way exists.
