Thanks for the input. That is on my list of things to do however, I do not at this time know how. I have been pouring through the CSS file but as I am a CSS newbie I am really don’t know what I am looking for.

Of course, I am always willing to listen to anyone’s inputs and help.

plain vanilla site, you could start with a more advanced theme and customize that, plain or fancy themes use the same selectors just different values so the work to learn them would be about the same

look through the themes for a layout you like, who cares about colours they can be changed more easily than layouts, and start customizing from there, you will see huge improvements in site look and traffic
